SCIENTIFIC WORK (2018) PRONE POSITION MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN TETHERED CORD - Vanni VERONESI MD

In 2018, American colleagues from the University of Chicago carried out a study to evaluate the usefulness of lumbar MRI in a prone position in cases of TETHERED and RETHETERED SPINAL CORD.
They also evaluated a small group of patients with OCCULT TETHERED CORD that are not part of the analysis of the object of the study.
The American colleagues in evaluating the percentage of ventral conus motion in a supine and prone position conclude their work by stating that "In the present series, MRI in a prone position proves to be a sensitive and specific instrument and the authors believe it can play a role as evidence support in the diagnosis of TETHERED and RETHETERED SPINAL CORD."
